Threads of Light is
A thoughtfully guided card game with questions, prompts, and playful activities. Created for friends, families, strangers, and groups seeking real connection. Best experienced with 3–8 players, for older teens and adults.
ABOUT THE GAME
Threads of Light is a gentle rebellion against surface-level connection.
Through playful rituals, thoughtful questions, and moments of appreciation, it turns gatherings into something deeper - inviting people to drop their masks and remember it’s safe to be seen.
It’s a card game where something real happens - replacing small talk with laughter, honesty, and meaningful moments, wherever people gather.
WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE
-
NOT JUST QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Most conversation decks stop at “ask a question, answer a question.” Threads of Light goes beyond that. It blends meaningful prompts with playful challenges, creative storytelling, and partner activities. The result is a game that feels dynamic and alive - more like a shared experience than a simple conversation
-
THE POWER OF APPRECIATION
Heart Tokens are a core element of Threads of Light. When someone shares something that moves you - a truth, a story, a moment of vulnerability - you offer them a token.
This simple ritual creates a wave of kindness in the group, helping people feel seen and valued in the moment
How It Works

Hi, I’m Masha
I created Threads of Light as a solo, independent project. Every card, every word, and every detail was shaped with care and intention. I poured a piece of my soul into this game, hoping it might help people feel a little more seen, a little more open, and a little less alone.
The idea for Threads of Light grew from a quiet longing I carried for a long time.
I’ve sat at many dinner tables where conversations felt safe and predictable. And inside, I found myself longing for moments when people felt free to be silly, vulnerable, or simply themselves - dropping their masks.
I first experienced this kind of openness in retreat spaces, where people were permitted to show up exactly as they are. Those moments stayed with me, and I wished there were gentle ways for them to happen more often - without forcing depth and putting anyone on the spot.
Slowly, Threads of Light began to take shape - a way to bring the same permission, playfulness, and presence into everyday gatherings.
